Every era produces its own figures—people who respond to the challenges of their time, guide thinking, and leave a mark through their actions. These are individuals who speak not with words, but with deeds, becoming part of society’s spirit. One of them is Khayaam Asgarov, who places social development and patriotic values at the core of his work and unites thousands of people around a common mission.
Today, his name is known not only for his work in the information space, but also for social initiatives and international projects. The public association “IMZA”, which he leads, has been active in Azerbaijan’s public life for many years.
Fortuna magazine spoke with him about his life journey, social mission, achievements, and challenges.
— Welcome to Fortuna magazine. Please tell us a little about yourself.
— I am Khayaam Asgarov, founder and head of the IMZA Social Development Support Public Union. My public activity began in 2013. Since then, I have shared information about the activities of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, as well as important state decisions. In 2019, we established IMZA and have implemented social, patriotic, and international cooperation projects. During the 44-day Patriotic War, our activity was among the first, and one of our posts reached over 13 million views.
— Which social issues are at the center of your work?
— Our main focus is on projects aimed at sustainable social development and improving public welfare.
— Which project is the most memorable for you?
— Every project is aimed at supporting the development of our country and society, so it is difficult to single one out. However, our platform’s total reach has exceeded 15 million views.
— What idea do you use to unite people?
— Our motto is: “IMZA — with faith, with Ilham and Mehriban towards the peaks — Azerbaijan.” We unite young people around ideas of development, civic responsibility, and personal growth.
— What qualities should young people develop?
— National values, discipline, responsibility, continuous learning, cooperation, honesty, and justice.
— What helps you in difficult moments?
— Determination. I focus on solutions rather than problems.
— Your biggest regret?
— Not spending enough time with my father.
— Your personal definition of success?
— Faith. We begin and complete every project with faith in people and in our country.
— What would you wish for Fortuna magazine?
— To reach its highest peak and always remain there.
