Estonia to open its embassy in Azerbaijan in 2026
On December 2, Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a telephone conversation with his Estonian counterpart Margus Tsahkna.

During the telephone conversation, the discussions focused on the topical items on the Azerbaijan-Estonia bilateral and multilateral agenda, as well as regional and global developments.
The ministers highlighted the intensifying political dialogue and reciprocal visits between the two countries. The importance of mutual support within international platforms was emphasized. Within this framework, cooperation relations were reviewed.
Margus Tsahkna informed Minister Bayramov about Estonia’s official decision to open its embassy in Azerbaijan in 2026. Commending the decision, the Azerbaijani FM noted that this step would boost bilateral relations between the two countries. The conversation also addressed other bilateral and regional matters.
It should be noted that recently, a large-scale forum entitled “International Business Forum: Azerbaijan in the spotlight – new business opportunities” was held in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, within the framework of the “LEF Network Azerbaijan” project, implemented with the official partnership of the “Caspian Energy Club”. This project – LEF (Latvia, Estonia and Finland) – has been ongoing for 3 years.
